I wrote a four word letter
Though I'd lived I hadn't been alive
You held my hem but I traveled blind
Thought I'd sold my soul for something better
The rain came down, it wet my eyes
I didn't mind
It's not me that you've missed
You heard me when I cried
"You've seen you've loved a side of me that died"
I remember sunshine
And you were mine
It's still a little cloudy but there's no rain in sight
You were mine

Musically this feels more experimental for La Dispute reminding me of their Here, Hear releases. Very atmospheric and easy to lose your self in. Perfect for the next time you’re contemplating your existence. (Also found out the guitarist builds his own pedals and used them on this record; neato!) Mikey

Julien Baker is an acquired taste - assuming of course you’ve acquired great taste in singer songwriters… beautiful, devastating, honest, insightful… I’ve not heard a single song of hers that hasn’t left me in absolute awe. crisbroadhurst
